Description Daktarin 2% Cream is a medicated cream that is used in the treatment of fungal and bacterial infections of the skin and nails such as those on the hands, nails & feet (athlete’s foot). It is also effective against infected nappy rash. Daktarin 2% Cream contains miconazole nitrate which works by destroying both the fungus that causes the infection and some of the associated bacteria which may also be present. It also has moisturising properties to help soothe cracked, red skin. It is suitable for use in adults and children of all ages. How to use: Wash the infected area and dry it well. Apply the cream onto the infected area and surrounding skin. Wash your hands carefully after applying the cream to avoid spreading the infection. Skin infections: Apply to the infected skin twice a day. Nail infections: Apply to the infected area once or twice daily. Continue treatment for up to 10 days after all the symptoms have cleared to prevent them from coming back. If symptoms persist talk to your doctor. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT DAKTARIN 2% CREAM For cutaneous use only, which means it is applied directly to the affected area of the skin. Always read the patient information leaflet. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or if you or your child are taking any other prescription medications, regular medicines, or receiving regular treatment. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with the eyes and the mucosa. In case of contact rinse with plenty of water. Do not use it in the event of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
