Description Microlax is a fast-acting micro-enema. It is easy to use and provides relief during constipation within 5-15 minutes. It works locally in the rectum where it is needed, without irritating the intestine. Microlax contains sodium citrate and sodium lauryl sulfoacetate which soften and increase the amount of fluid in the hard stool making them easier to pass. Microlax offers fast-acting relief from constipation and is usually effective within 5 to 15 minutes. The microenema is small in size with a narrow tube tip. Hygienic, one-tube use. Suitable for most children and adults. How to use: For rectal use only. Twist the seal of the nozzle Squeeze the tube slightly so that a drop of Microlax smears the tip and thus makes insertion easier. Insert the nozzle fully into the rectum. Squeeze out the contents fully by squeezing the shoulder of the tube. Withdraw the nozzle still squeezing tightly. Adults and children 3 years and older: The contents of one Microlax enema administered rectally as necessary. Children under 3 years: The contents of one Microlax enema administered rectally as necessary. In children under 3 years, insert only half the length of the nozzle. (see indication on the nozzle). IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT MICROLAX RECTAL SOLUTION For rectal use only. Do not swallow. Do not take if you are allergic to any of the ingredients listed. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or if you or your child are taking any other prescription medications, regular medicines, or receiving regular treatment. Seek immediate medical advice in the event of an overdose, even if you feel well. Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully. This medicine can cause side effects like all medicines, although not everybody gets them. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. If the symptoms worsen or persist during the use of the medicinal product or there is no bowel movement after three days, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. Stimulant laxatives do not reduce the number of calories absorbed from food. This means they do not help with weight loss.
